DELTA’S SPECIFIC SOLUTIONS FOR ELEVATOR INDUSTRY
DELTA’s VFD-ED Series Elevator Drive
DELTA Electronics, one of the world's leading manufacturers in the industrial automation sector, collects highly positive feedbacks from its users with its VFD-ED series, which is an AC motor driver specific to the elevator industry. Let's get to know the VFD-ED a little more closely, which is the premium lift drive with the highest performance-price ratio by its perfect driving experience in all motor types.
High Safety
VFD-ED series; Complies with EN 81-1+A3, EN 81-20, EN61800-5-2 (STO) and EN61508 (SIL2) directives. In addition, the new generation device with SIL3 support will soon take its place in the market.
During rescue operation, the most suitable floor that can be reached with minimum effort is calculated by the driver. While 220VAC UPS is used on the control side in rescue, the power stage can also be energized via UPS or using 48VDC battery voltages.
Wide Range of Hardware Functions
In addition to the built-in LED display in the VFD-ED elevator driver, it offers easier programming with the advanced LCD panel option that also supports Turkish language. With only 2 different encoder cards, it supports all common geared and gearless encoder types.
With its internal IO numbers consisting of 10 digital inputs, 2 analog inputs, 2 analog outputs, 4 relay outputs and 2 digital outputs and a power range from 4kW to 75kW, complete solution is provided for all applications in the lift market. The drive also has built-in Modbus and CANbus communication. There is also an USB port for computer connection and the VFDSoft software used for programming and monitoring is free and can be downloaded from our download center.
High Performance
The VFD-ED elevator driver has overload capacity of 150% for 1 minute and 190% for 5 seconds, according to the motor nominal current, as well as showing a high level of performance at start-up with 150% initial torque at 0 Hz. The FOC control (Field Oriented Control) algorithm, which is among the features of the driver, is the most advanced motor control method that is not found in many competitors and controls the motor through the magnetic flux component.
With the outer metal cover of the drive, high cooling performance is offered to users as well as increased durability.
Direct Landing
Another feature that differs the VFD-ED from its competitors is having direct landing feature even though it is not an integrated driver. With this function, the driver records the positions of all floors from the encoder and keeps them in his memory by performing floor height measurement at the first start. In normal operation, it will be enough for the control card to send the driver only the maximum speed information and the target destination. The driver calculates the curves according to this information and provides riding in the highest comfort. In addition, deceleration sensors are no longer needed and correction is performed automatically in cases such as slipping of the rope. This system works smoothly worldwide at speeds up to 4m/s.
Strong Local and Global Organization
As DELTA, we are always with our users at site. We have 19 regional sales representatives and partners as DELTA product sales and technical support points throughout Turkey. All of our partners are located in central locations within easy reach of our entire geography. We are always with our users with our high local product stock, including high powers, and our global guarantee. Our R&D team in Taiwan provides great support to our customers by providing special solutions for non-standard project demands.
Energy Efficiency Solutions
With DELTA REG2000 and AFE2000 regenerative products, alternative solutions to braking resistors are also provided. With the help of regenerative products, unnecessary heating in the control panels and braking resistor failures are prevented also energy efficiency is ensured. With the help of these solutions, carbon emissions are reduced and necessary recipes for green buildings are offered while cost of energy is becoming more and more important in our world.
DELTA’s New Rail-Type Lyte II and Panel-Type PMT2 Power Supplies
DELTA power supply solutions with more than 500 models specially designed for use in many sectors such as LED, factory, marine, building, hospital and home, have been added to 2 new economical, less space-saving, more efficient series.
With the wide product range, Lyte II and PMT 2 families are offered in the 35W-480W power range. In addition to being a metal case, it offers a covered circuit option against dust and chemicals.
Universal AC Input
Due to the wide voltage input range between 85Vac and 264Vac, it can be used regardless of the country voltage you send. It provides error-free installation with the support of switchless design for products between 35W and 150W in panel types, and switchless design for all products in rail types.
Wide DC Output Range
Universal output voltages of 12Vdc, 15Vdc, 24Vdc, 30Vdc, 36Vdc, 48Vdc with dual voltage support such as 5Vdc and 12Vdc, 5Vdc and 24Vdc, it covers all your needs and saves space in your panel with solutions.
Slim Design
The new Lyte II and PMT 2 series power supplies provide 30% space savings in your panel without sacrificing quality with their slim design.
Fully Protection on All Products
With over-current, over-voltage, over-temperature and short-circuit protection in Lyte II and PMT 2 series power supplies, it provides full protection to the devices which is connected to the power supply.
All of the products are produced in accordance with the IEC / EN 6100-3-2 standard. This standard covers the limitation of harmonics in the mains voltage. In addition, the EMI (Electromagnetic Input) filter and rectifier circuit located at the input and output protects it from radio frequencies that cause deterioration of electronic devices.
Operating Temperature and Cold Start
Lyte II and PMT 2 families, with operating temperatures between -30°C and +70°C, continue to operate without power reduction even under the most challenging conditions. In addition, with its cold start support, it starts to work with a power reduction at -40°C.
