Mehmet Devedaşı, General Manager of Devas Asansör, which was founded by two joint entrepreneurs to develop electronic elevator control cards and develop new control techniques with elevator industry-specific approaches and produce simple and safe systems for users, noted that Devas is a pioneer of change in Turkey and the world with its structure that can adapt quickly to the developing technology with the requirements of the age and its investments in the field of disability systems technologies.
Mehmet Devedaşı noted that Devas Asansör, which has decided to invest in order to produce the materials needed and critical for disabled elevator systems on its own instead of importing them from abroad, has established a multi-mouthed endless screw shaft production line from 40 mm diameter to 250 mm diameter with a chip-free manufacturing technique, also said the following: "In 2021, we invested in Oxidation Coating Line, Laser, CNC Press Brake and similar machines, but we produced special machines for our different needs. As a result of the growth of our machine park and the increase in product diversity, we have increased our indoor area from 3,200 m2 to 5,900 m2 and our total area has reached 16,000 m2. Despite the pandemic conditions that have had an impact all over the world, our number of jobs with machine park, indoor space and new units is growing every day with a goal of stable growth".
Saying " Thinking globally, seeing the whole world as a market and thinking that you can sell to many countries means having a new vision.", Devedaşı, stated that with this vision, Devas is not only limited to the Middle East, but also sends products that it produces locally and nationally to all over the world, and that they are proud to have a structure that exports 60 percent of their production capacity, and that they send products to more than 70 countries. Mehmet Devedaşı stated that they have expanded their foreign market share by producing products in the European segment, especially for their overseas customers, by using quality and high-performance materials in principle, and said the following about their new investments:
"Devas Asansör is not only an elevator company, but also a good R&D company in its sector. Our products with oval designs in the disabled elevator industry have been produced for a long time. With the suitability of our knowledge and infrastructure, we have developed new products by investing in new machinery and equipment to produce circular elevators. Every product we develop is a harbinger of new products and guides our investments. We have ongoing R&D projects at home and abroad by following policies for the provision of new technologies. As before, the investments we made to develop the semi-finished products we imported from abroad continue to grow within our own structure. Thanks to our investments in the IT sector, our 'Design Workshop' application, which is used by many of our domestic and foreign customers, can now design their own elevators while sipping their coffee at the computer. They can design many products, from the handicapped platform to the Tube lift tube lift, according to the shape, color or dimensions suitable for their own structure. Thanks to our 'Giant Mobile' applications that we developed for the setting and use of the products in our product portfolio, people can now connect to the system via smart phones and change the parameters, as well as make software updates online."

Although our new products, whose patent studies have been completed, were presented to the market, they were also exhibited at the Eurasia Elevator Fair, and received full marks from many elevator companies that examined and used them. Of course, the production and development of these products is realized with a long R&D and P&D investments. The smallest model of our 'Octalift' home and handicapped elevators, produced to ensure accessibility even in the narrowest areas that prevent access, occupies a space of 800x800 mm, and it has become an elevator that can be traveled by standing alone or sitting on its foldable seat, and has won the admiration of everyone visually.
'Octalift', which offers an open field of vision thanks to its transparent coatings, has started to be used in public, private and official institutions thanks to its use in homes, offices, and wheelchairs. Adding that their goal has always been to produce products of European quality, Devedaşı said, "In this context, our products are approved and certified by European-based notified bodies in terms of both quality and safety. CE documents of each product are certified with the right product, the right brand, and the right price policies, starting simultaneously with the prototype stage. In fact, when our customers buy our products, they receive reliable products whose performance is guaranteed by us, and its certificate is the certificate that the quality and safety of our products are approved by Europe. For this, our products are specially produced in accordance with outdoor conditions and ADA Pvag standards, with aluminum coated special sheets, DKP sheet, polyester exterior paint, and IP 67 switch systems, depending on the place of use. The most malfunctioning point of these systems is the door security locks. Door security locks in our products are designed with imported lock systems with a high performance IP67 protection class, with an average failure rate of less than 0.01 percent. Although its cost is high, it is one of the indispensable critical materials for us. Our products, which shall take a long journey, should always guarantee the performance of the first day. Our company has a quarter-century of experience in elevators, software, informatics, and production techniques, and we transfer this knowledge and experience to all our employees and provide consultancy when necessary. Our products are developed in terms of quality as well as in terms of production techniques, as they are constantly developed within the scope of P&D in line with the requirements of the age, technology and changing standards and directives. The certification and testing processes, which are repeated every year, are followed at all stages by a technical committee that we form, and digital documentation is created and archived. All these processes, which are carried out using lean production techniques, can be monitored, and tracked online.
As a company that has been producing in the sector for a long time, we find the feedback from the field very valuable in terms of the performance and structure of our products after 15 years, and our immediate action on the problems faced by users. Sometimes even a small detail that is not mentioned in the user manual is important. The VSR voice assistant, which is standard in all our products, has been designed with the details in mind for guiding and training our users regarding the use of disabled platforms. The fact that we can do all the mechanical, hardware and software processes of our products in-house increases our domestic capacity above 95 percent and makes it easier for us to take quick action in case of any change. Our successful completion of many different specific projects is due to our ability to produce semi-finished products in-house.
