Emlak Konut Asansör (EKA) is playing a key role in improving living standards in earthquake-affected areas by supplying 750 elevators for rapidly constructed housing projects. EKA General Manager Kurtuluş Erdem Bayraktar stated that the majority of the elevators have already been installed, while the remaining units are being swiftly assembled. The company has allocated a total of 1,650 elevators for post-earthquake housing projects, actively contributing to developments in Adıyaman, Hatay, Kahramanmaraş, and Malatya.

EKA was established in 2021 under the auspices of the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization, and Climate Change in the Konya Organized Industrial Zone. Within the scope of Türkiye’s National Technology Initiative, the company has increased its domestic production rate to 91.46%, supporting the country's independence in engineering and industrial development. Bayraktar highlighted that EKA differentiates itself in the sector by producing highly durable, energy-efficient elevators through extensive R&D efforts.

Konya – The "Cradle of Elevators" and EKA’s manufacturing strength

Recognized as the center of Türkiye’s elevator industry, Konya accounts for 50% of the country’s total elevator exports. As part of this ecosystem, EKA continues its production in Konya, where it established its factory. The company commenced manufacturing in September 2022 and made its first shipments in January 2023, reaching a total production of 4,000 elevators to date.

Intensive support for earthquake zones

Bayraktar emphasized that 750 elevators have already been deployed in post-disaster housing projects, while 900 additional units are currently in the installation phase. He particularly noted that EKA has supplied elevators for all earthquake-resilient housing projects in Adıyaman. The company’s collaboration with governmentbacked rapid construction initiatives has contributed to the project’s overall success.
