The first production facility of Germany-centered Thyssenkrupp Asansör in Turkey was established in Dilovası-Kocaeli. The company plans to create a volume of 500 million Turkish Liras by producing 200 units of escalators on the first phase within this facility.

Dilovası Machinery Specialization OIS, gathering the machinery manufacturers, industrialists, sub industries, electrics, electronics industries that are doing business in and around İstanbul, in one area, will be hosting ThyssenKrupp Asansör, which is a German company. 

Projected to be operating with a nationality rate of 54% as minimum on the initial phase, the facility plans to increase this rate to 90% by next year. The escalators, which will be labelled as “Made in Türkiye” to be produced in the facility located in Kocaeli – Dilovası, projected to create a volume of 500 million Turkish Liras by producing 200 units of escalators annually on the first phase, will be presented for the Middle East and Eastern Europe markets, along with the Turkish market.

27.000 square meters of facility

The plant, established with an investment of 20.000.000 Euros, has an indoor area of 23.000 square meters on an area of 27.000 square meters. There is also a training campus within this area within the scope of investments made for people. In this training center, the employees from Turkey and neighboring countries will have the opportunity to be provided with special training on elevators and escalators. The grand opening of the facility, which will be assigned as the headquarters of the region for ThyssenKrup Asansör, had many important guests. The opening cerenomy of the new production facility was held with the following participants: Hosted by Ercan Keleş as the ThyssenKrupp Elevator Global Board Member and CFO and Turgay Şarlı as the General Manager ThyssenKrupp Asansör Turkey; Arda Ermut as the President of Turkish Investment Agency and the Chamber of International Investment Agencies, Fikri Işık as the Vice President and Deputy in Kocaeli, Hüseyin Aksor as the Governor of Kocaeli, local protocol and the representatives of the business world.
