HASAN YALDIZ: OUR EXPORTS INCREASED BY 10 PERCENT
Foreign Trade Coordinator of Stof Elevator, Hasan Yaldız who said "An increase of approximately 10 percent occurred in our export rate in 2020 compared to last year" also stated that the increase in exports throughout the country had a positive effect first on the elevator sector and then on Stof Elevator. Regarding the effect of exchange rates in the positive atmosphere in exports, Yaldız also said that “The rise in foreign exchange rates has had a positive effect on our company as in every sector. Although the prices were generally increased, this was enough to increase the foreign exchange revenues from exports’’ and stated that the Euro & USD parity rate forecast for 2021 is 1.19.
Expressing that the market density has shifted from the Middle East and Balkan countries to Africa, Yaldız said; “The share and importance of undeveloped countries in our exports is increasing day by day. When we assess this year's company data compared to the same period of the previous year, we expect an increase in our exports in 2021. As the export department of our company, with the increasing exchange rates and our accelerated export share, the rate of our exports, which was 25 percent in company sales last year, seems to result in as 35 percent this year. Due to the negative domestic market conditions as a result of the coronavirus pandemic in all countries, our exports were negatively affected. In this context, the main factor that caused the problem was that the importers closed their workplaces for a limited time or indefinitely and ceased operations. This situation reflected negatively on the elevator sector as well as in many other sectors. However, despite this, the increase in our exports is pleasing."
