ILA Lift grew with ILAEON: 70% increase in turnover
Stefanos Parizyianos, General Manager of Ila Lift, evaluated the year 2024 and stated that the leading companies in the elevator sector followed a different course despite the difficult economic conditions. He explained that they achieved a 70% increase in turnover thanks to the launch of their new brand ILAEON and their successful performance at ELEVEX Konya Elevator Fair.
Parizyianos emphasized that the biggest problem for exporting companies is the low exchange rates, while freight price increases in the Suez Canal give Turkish companies an advantage in regional exports. Ila Lift's main export markets include Serbia, Greece, Qatar, Azerbaijan and Romania. However, he stated that the developments in Lebanon negatively affected their exports.
Stating that they do not directly participate in energy efficiency investments, but they indirectly contribute to this field with the new gearless elevator machine, Parizyianos said that they have commissioned a new generation automatic winding machine and a computer-aided torque testing machine. He added that their Italian partner EON has started mass production of new generation elevator control cards, and that their participation in the fair in Milan received positive feedback.
The 2025 targets include participating in the Istanbul Asansör Fair and Interlift Fair, as well as expanding into markets such as Italy, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Germany. Stating that they plan to open sales points in two countries in Europe, Parizyianos said he believes that the Turkish elevator industry will maintain its strong position in global competition, but cost increases will be the biggest challenge.
