interlift 2025: A new era begins in Nuremberg
The world’s leading trade fair for the lift industry moves to a new, ultramodern venue
The global lift industry is gearing up for a transformative edition of interlift 2025, which will be held for the first time in Nuremberg from 14 to 17 October 2025. Having established itself as the premier international trade fair for the sector since its inception in 1991, interlift continues to evolve, attracting nearly 19,000 visitors from over 110 countries. The upcoming event promises a more spacious and accessible experience, with over 500 exhibitors ready to showcase the latest advancements in lift technology.
Unmatched networking and business opportunities
Interlift has long been recognized as more than just a trade fair—it serves as a dynamic networking hub for the global lift community. Massimiliano Petrolli, Marketing Manager at Meiller, highlights the importance of in-person interactions at interlift, stating: "In an increasingly digital world, direct dialogue at trade fairs like interlift remains irreplaceable. It allows for in-depth discussions and the opportunity to present complex products directly to industry professionals."
Similarly, Federica Codalli, Marketing Manager at Wittur Group, emphasizes the informal yet powerful networking opportunities at the event: "Chance encounters and face-to-face conversations at interlift have often led to ground-breaking collaborations. Many major industry partnerships have started not in boardrooms, but over casual discussions at the trade fair."
A key driver for the construction and smart infrastructure sectors
As the official sponsor of interlift, VFA Interlift e.V., continues to advocate for small and medium-sized lift and component manufacturers. Achim Hütter, Chairman of the Association, acknowledges the resilience of the sector, stating: “Despite geopolitical uncertainties and supply chain challenges, the industry remains strong, driven by urbanization, accessibility, and energy efficiency. The lift sector plays a crucial role in advancing smart infrastructures.”
Nuremberg: A modern exhibition destination
The decision to move interlift from Augsburg to Nuremberg was made after extensive consultation with industry stakeholders. The Messe Nürnberg exhibition center offers a state-of-the-art infrastructure, improved international connectivity, and a more relaxed hotel situation for visitors and exhibitors alike. Michael Gubisch, Deputy Chairman of VFA Interlift e.V., notes: “The new venue enhances accessibility and provides greater space for exhibitors. We expect an even more international and enriching experience for all participants.”
High expectations for the Nuremberg edition
The industry has already shown significant enthusiasm for the move, with over 50 companies visiting Nuremberg to explore the new venue. Michael Löffler, Project Manager of interlift, reports:
"There is great interest in the new location. The NürnbergMesse venue offers an ideal layout with Halls 1, 3, 3A, 3C, 4, and 4A forming a seamless circuit."
A recent visitor survey also reinforces interlift’s significance:
84% of visitors have purchasing power
92% rated the program as very good to satisfactory (a 9% increase from the last edition)
93% had a positive overall impression
92% intend to return
