Metroplast Elevator: Strong Performance in 2024, Growth Target for 2025
Mr. Kuzey Akdemir, Deputy General Manager of Metroplast Elevator, stated that 2024 was a year full of challenges but offering opportunities for the sector. He emphasized that despite inflationary pressures, they achieved their targets with a customer-oriented approach, production efficiency and digitalization investments. New customer acquisitions and optimizations in production processes were decisive in the company's growth.
Metroplast achieved export success especially in the European and Middle Eastern markets, focusing on Russia, Iran and various countries in Europe. Akdemir stated that the Turkish elevator industry is in a strong position in the global market with high quality production, competitive prices and innovative product development capabilities.
Modernizing its production processes with energy efficiency-oriented investments, the company adopted environmentally friendly production processes by renewing old machines. In 2025, it aims to expand its projects to optimize energy consumption, make waste management sustainable and reduce its carbon footprint. Accelerating its production processes through digitalization investments, Metroplast optimized production planning and refined cost analyses through ERP integrations.
Akdemir predicts that the sector will grow by 5-8% in 2025 and stated that Metroplast will expand into new markets. Brand awareness will be increased through participation in international fairs, B2B marketing methods and expansion of the distributor network. Predicting that demand for high-speed elevators and smart city projects will increase, Akdemir stated that the company will invest in these areas. He stated that they will focus on increasing the satisfaction of their business partners through international dealership agreements and technical support projects in order to strengthen in global competition.
Emphasizing that supply chain disruptions and rising production costs pose a threat to the sector, Akdemir said that Turkish companies need to raise quality standards and increase their R&D investments in order to maintain their competitive advantage.
