Held since 1991 and established as the global meeting place for the elevator industry, interlift has continued its growth uninterrupted, now hosting approximately 19,000 visitors from over 110 countries. The last edition of the fair, which took place in Augsburg with 500 participants, is now preparing to bring the industry together in its new home in Nuremberg from October 14–17, 2025.

The success of interlift cannot be explained by numbers alone: the real strength of the fair lies in the direct communication opportunities and genuine business connections it offers.

The importance of face-to-face dialogue

Massimiliano Petrolli, Marketing Manager at Meiller, summarizes the value of interlift as follows: “In our increasingly digital world, direct dialogue at trade fairs like interlift remains indispensable. In our industry, where products require detailed explanations, faceto- face communication is invaluable." Petrolli also emphasizes that the fair offers great opportunities for professionals taking their first steps in the industry to establish valuable connections.

The magic of interlift: Informal meetings

Federica Codalli, Marketing Manager at Wittur Group, notes that the true appeal of interlift lies in the connections formed beyond formal meeting rooms: “Informal conversations between industry peers often mark the beginning of collaborations that shape the market. That’s why interlift isn’t just a place to showcase products; it’s a meeting ground where the future of the industry is shaped.”

A strong driving force for smart infrastructure

interlift’s main sponsor, the VFA Interlift e.V. Association, represents the interests of small and mediumsized elevator and component manufacturers.

Association President Achim Hütter commented on the industry, saying, “Themes such as urbanization, accessibility and energy efficiency continue to drive strong demand. Despite geopolitical tensions and supply chain disruptions, our industry remains a key driver for the construction sector and the development of smart infrastructure.”

Modern infrastructure and easy access in Nuremberg

Association Vice President Michael Gubisch emphasized that the move to Nuremberg will not only offer a more modern infrastructure and more comfortable hotel options but will also significantly enhance international access to the fair. Gubisch added: “The expanded space will provide participants and visitors with more room and newservices. The decision to relocate was made after prior consultation with all key partners.”

High interest in interlift 2025

interlift Project Manager Michael Löffler confirmed the high level of interest in the new location: “Over 50 companies have already made special visits to Nuremberg to see interlift's new home.” interlift will be held at the Nuremberg Exhibition Center in Halls 1, 3, 3A, 3C, 4 and 4A.

Visitors can access the exhibition grounds via the Eingang Mitte entrance (for public transport users) and the Eingang Ost entrance (for individual visitors).

interlift 2025: Who is participating, what can be expected? According to the latest visitor survey:

- 84% of visitors are purchasing and procurement specialists.

- 71% from Europe, 16% from Asia/ Australia, 9% from the Americas and 3% from Africa.

- The most popular areas: elevator components, doors and elevator systems.

- 93% of participants were very satisfied with the fair overall.
