We closely follow industry standards and dynamics in the production process.

Betül Kara said, "With the changing world and developing construction projects, elevator speed governors today come in various types. We produce six different types of elevator speed governors, such as machine room, machine room-less with remote access, rail-connected with remote access, and encoder speed governors, varying according to their areas of use and connection points."

Hello, Ms. Betül. What is the basic function of elevator brakes and regulators, and how have technological advancements shaped them up to the present day? What types of elevator brakes and regulators do you produce, and what are the innovative features of these products?

Hello. The elevator speed governor is a mechanical elevator component that controls and regulates the cruising speed of elevator cabins. It is a safety equipment that activates the emergency brake of the cabin in case of excessive acceleration. The regulator and the lower pulley work together in a precise manner to control the movement of the elevator cabin, ensuring it stops smoothly in case of excessive acceleration or if the travel becomes dangerous.

Technically, in case of excessive acceleration of the elevator cabin, the locking latch inside the speed governor activates, braking the speed governor and enabling the cabin brake to engage. The immobile speed governor rope activates the safety latches, i.e., the emergency brakes of the elevator cabin.

Elevator speed governors today come in various types with the changing world and developing construction projects. We produce six different types of elevator speed governors, such as machine room, machine room-less with remote access, rail-connected with remote access, and encoder speed governors, varying according to their areas of use and connection points.

How does your compliance process with safety standards work, and what are the biggest challenges you face in adapting to international standards?

Our products are manufactured in accordance with local legal requirements, international agreements, and standards. We closely follow industry standards and dynamics in the production process of our products, which hold numerous national and international quality certificates such as ISO 9001:20015, CE, EAC, and TSE, and we continuously develop our products in this system.

How do your regulators play a role in emergencies and power outages? What technologies do you use to ensure the reliability of these systems?

The elevator speed governor ensures that the elevator cabin stops smoothly in case of excessive acceleration or if the travel becomes dangerous during emergencies. Our products undergo multiple tests in our own testing system after production. In addition, regular tests and inspections are carried out in accredited institutions and test environments.

How do you approach R&D and innovation efforts? What is the latest technology or product you have developed as a result of your investments in this area?

We aim to elevate our products to higher levels and provide more advanced services to our business partners. In this context, we guide our R&D efforts through the right solutions by considering the comments and needs of our business partners and customers actively involved in the field. Most recently, we added the "Rail-Connected Elevator Speed Governor," which has been well received for its ease of use, lightness, and easy installation phase, to our product portfolio.

What strategies do you adopt in opening up to foreign markets with a focus on regulators, and in which countries do you have a more active presence? In the process of opening up to foreign markets, we actively participate in domestic fairs and have the opportunity to bring our products together with active and potential customers from the global market. We frequently visit our customers' countries to strengthen our communication. We are actively working with some European countries, especially Greece. Additionally, our brand recognition is strong in Egypt and the United Arab Emirates.

"The Elevex Konya Elevator and Technologies Exhibition is of great importance to us. We aim to introduce our 'Konya Logistics Depot,' which will become operational in June in Konya, and the new products we have added to our portfolio to our guests from both domestic and foreign markets.

We believe that the fair will be very beneficial for our company in promoting and announcing our 'Konya Logistics Depot,' which will start operations in Konya from June.

We are excited and happy to be part of the Elevex Konya Elevator and Technologies Fair, which will take place for the first time in Konya, the heart of the industry. We are meticulously completing our booth preparations to host our guests in the best possible way.

At this fair, we want to draw attention to our 'Konya Logistics Depot.' By opening the depot, considering the rising shipping and transportation costs, we aimed to provide our customers with a more economical and accessible service. We believe that this convenience offered to our active and potential customers will add another plus to our company in the industry.

During the preparation process, we have been in direct communication with our active and potential customers from both domestic and foreign markets, and from time to time, we have made our invitations through announcements on our social media accounts. We will be delighted to host all our guests.
