For the global economy and Turkey, 2025 was recorded
not so much as a period of growth or contraction in the
traditional sense, but rather as a transitional year in
which investment decisions were redefined and strategic
positioning took center stage. Rising geopolitical risks
on a global scale, rising financing costs, and ongoing
vulnerabilities in supply chains directly influenced investor
behavior. In this environment, rapid growth targets gave
way to more cautious, calculated, and long-term strategies.
Throughout 2025, the majority of investments were
directed not toward expanding scale, but toward increasing
efficiency, modernization processes, and sustainability-
focused transformations. This approach is seen not merely
as a reflex to current risks but also as an effort to adapt
to the requirements of the new global economic order.
Consequently, while 2025 was a year of preparation rather
than results, 2026 is expected to be a period where the
returns on these preparations are realized, and investments
translate into tangible outcomes.
